Forté Releases Agent 4.0

Forté is pleased to announce the general release of Agent 4.0.

A major upgrade, Agent 4.0 has functionality that benefits every Agent user. In response to customer feedback, the focus of Agent 4.0 is to improve significantly the features you use every day. So, whether you use Agent for text groups, binary groups or email, we think you'll love this upgrade.

Usenet Features

  • Images display in a separate preview window or within the message body pane
  • Enhanced crosspost detection
  • Ignore sub-thread
  • Auto-save binary attachments by file extension
  • User-defined prioritization of tasks such as getting headers, getting small bodies and posting messages
  • Usenet filter expressions based on the "Newsgroups:" header
  • Sort folders in the "Folders" pane
  • Hide the "All Folders" desk

Email Features

  • Optional display of HTML formatted messages
  • Only display HTML images for contacts that you trust
  • Email junk detection using Bayesian statistics
  • New address book design for storing contacts, domains, and mailing lists
  • Automatically route and file email messages based on your address book
  • Train Agent for junk detection and routing simply by filing messages
  • Email routing report to review where recent emails were received and routed
